Falmouth 10, Wellington 40
Falmouth paid the price for a second-half collapse as Wellington marched to a comfortable seven-try victory at the Rec on Saturday.
The Red and Blacks held a slender 18-10 lead at the break, but showed their superiority in the second half to run in four further tries.
The Eagles took the lead with a Tom Edmonds penalty, but Wellington were soon in front when Ash Harney went over for an unconverted try.
Nev Pitman added another five points for the visitors but Falmouth responded with their only try of the game from Geach, with Edmonds converting to level the scores.
But Paddy Jarman slotted in a penalty before second row Cameron Venn scored the first of his three tries to give the visitors an eight-point lead at the break.
Wellington were rampant when the teams returned, with Venn scoring twice to wrap up his hat-trick, with Jarman converting the latter.
Winger Harney added his second try of the game before George Hodgson went over to complete the scoring in the final minute.
