Falmouth Town will face St Austell for the eighth time since the start of last season when the two teams meet at Newquay’s Mount Wise stadium in their Cornwall Senior Cup semi-final in 12 days’ time.

Here is a look back at how their previous seven encounters panned out…

October 14, 2017: St Austell 1, Falmouth Town 3 (Walter C Parson League Cup second round)

Marcello Jones scored twice as Falmouth Town dumped holders St Austell out of the Walter C Parson Cup in their second round tie at Poltair Park on Saturday.

Jones scored in either half before Jordan Annear netted Falmouth’s third. Chris Reski scored for St Austell, who ended the game with ten men after Martin Giles was sent off.

October 31, 2017: St Austell 5, Falmouth Town 5 (SWPL Premier)

Marcello Jones scored an injury-time penalty for Town as they battled back from 3-0 down to draw 5-5 with St Austell in an extraordinary match at Poltair Park.

St Austell led 3-0 within half an hour thanks to goals from Mark Golsworthy, a James Ward own goal and Jack Calver, but it was all square by the 50th minute with Marcello Jones and a Martin Watts own goal before Ward made amends with a goal at the right end.

The home side struck twice through Chris Reski and Liam Eddy, but Town hit back via Jordan Annear before Jones bagged his second to wrap up an incredible game.

February 7, 2018: St Austell 3, Falmouth Town 0 (Cornwall Senior Cup quarter-final)

Falmouth’s first game in over a month ended in defeat as they crashed out of the Cornwall Senior Cup quarter-finals at Poltair Park on Wednesday night.

The score line flattered the hosts a little bit, but goals from Mark Goldsworthy, Martin Giles and Will Tinsley made Town pay for what was a lacklustre performance in front of goal.

It looked like there was going to be a fourth when James Ward brought Tinsley down in the box deep in added time, but Chris Reski’s penalty was saved by Barnes.

April 10, 2018: Falmouth Town 3, St Austell 0 (SWPL Premier)

Town moved up to second place in the SWPL Premier table after comfortably beating St Austell at Bickland Park on Tuesday night.

A David Broglino penalty ensured that the hosts led at half time, before goals from Jordan Annear and Joe Cooper sealed an emphatic result for Town, who have now reached the 60-point mark for the first time since 2012.

Town exacted revenge on the Lilywhites, who beat them by the same score at Poltair Park in their Cornwall Senior Cup quarter-final in February.

August 10, 2018: St Austell 4, Falmouth Town 1 (SWPL Premier)

Town slumped to a disappointing defeat at Poltair Park in their first game of the SWPL Premier season.

Chris Reski gave the hosts a slender half-time lead before Liam Eddy doubled the advantage early in the second half.

Jordan Annear replied for Town but Eddy struck again before Neil Slateford added a fourth.

September 26, 2018: Falmouth Town 4, St Austell 2 (SWPL Premier)

Falmouth Town avenged their opening-day defeat at St Austell with a 4-2 win over the Lillywhites in the reverse fixture at Bickland Park.

Martyn Duff opened the scoring for the hosts inside two minutes before Tim Nixon doubled the lead just four minutes later. Mark Goldsworthy halved the deficit on 25 minutes, with the remaining three goals coming in a frantic final eight minutes.

Liam Eddy levelled for the visitors on 82 minutes only for Jordan Annear to restore Town's lead two minutes later, with Jack Bowyer making the game safe for the home side on 86 minutes.

January 23, 2019: St Austell 0, Falmouth Town 1 (Walter C Parson League Cup quarter-final)

Jordan Annear's second-half strike was enough to send defending champions Falmouth Town into the semi-finals of the Walter C Parson League Cup at the expense of St Austell on Wednesday night.

In a game of few clear-cut chances at Poltair Park, it was Annear's 69th-minute tap-in that proved to be the winner for the cup holders.

Nixon showed great skill to control a long ball forward and take it away from the onrushing Jason Chapman before laying it on a plate for Annear, who had enough time to set himself before slotting into the empty net.
