A LACK of referees had a big effect on Saturday’s Trelawny League fixtures, but it didn’t prevent Ruan Minor from pulling off a huge shock in the Percy Stephens Cup.

Mullion Reserves scored through Ross Atkinson, but couldn’t hold on as Lanner ran out 4-1 winners while Rosudgeon were 4-1 winners away to division four promotion hopefuls Tregony.

Mawnan edged closer to leaders Penwith Exiles in the premier division with a 4-0 win over Mousehole Reserves. The goals came from Ryan James (2), Greg Hobbs and Adam Keenan.
Penryn Athletic Reserves had a convincing 6-2 win against Stithians after scoring through Scott Roberts (2), Scott McElwee, Keir Dent, Lewis Pellow and Darren Martin but Helston Athletic III suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat at Illogan RBL Reserves.
Constantine pulled off a terrific 1-1 draw away to division one leaders Threemilestone and Wendron United III accounted for Goohavern Athletic 4-1.
In division three Rosudgeon Reserves were 4-3 winners at Holmans Reserves. Jamie Hooper (2), Jevon Pryce and Jonty Wheatly scored the goals.
Chacewater overcame Constantine Reserves 5-2 in division four whilst Falmouth United went down 3-2 against Goonhavern Reserves. Jack Blakeston snapped up a brace.
Lizard Argyle Reserves were comfortable 4-0 winners at Stithians Reserves.
