Friday evening saw Falmouth and Penryn boxers Callum Nancholas and Jim Henderson travel to Poole in Dorset to compete on the annual Lighthouse Dinner Show.

First up for the club was Callum against Ben Pascoe from Bridport, with Callum dominating the first round with his jab and superior footwork forcing his opponent back to ropes and hammering home some vicious body shots.

The second round saw Pascoe have a bit more success but Nancholas soon put a stop to that in the third and final round with left hooks to the head and body to take a points decision.

The bout of the evening, which had the whole audience on their feet, was Falmouth's heavyweight and hard hitting Jim Henderson stepping up to challenge Emeralds' Jamie Ealey for the Western Counties Super Heavyweight challenge belt over 3x3min rounds.

Henderson came out in the first round and used his jab well but that didn't last long, as Ealey soon dragged Henderson into a fight which resulted in Henderson flooring Ealey heavily right on the bell at the end of the round, leaving Henderson no time to finish him off.

The second round started the same as the first rounded ended with both boxers trading heavy blows. This resulted in both boxers using a lot of energy up and the taller Ealey just edged the round with his height and reach.

The third and final round was fought hard by both boxers to the final bell and they were impossible to split.

The bout ended in a split decision win to Ealey to retain his belt with the whole crowd on their feet clapping both boxers out of the ring.
