Falmouth Town and Saltash United will contest the latest South West Peninsula League Cup Final, the now-traditional curtain closer of the local senior football season, on Saturday.

Town go into the match at St Blazey’s Blaise Park (kick-off 2pm) as the defending champions, having lifted the trophy for the first time in the SWPL era (since 2007) 12 months ago after beating Tavistock 4-2 after extra-time.

Town have not yet managed to win the SWPL’s league competition, but they are the most decorated side in South Western League history, having won the league title 14 times in the competition’s 56-year history (1951-2007).

Sixteen teams have been crowned champions of either the South Western League, which ran from 1951 to 2007, or the South West Peninsula League, which has run in the SWL’s place since 2007.

Can you name them?

Listed below are the numbers of times each team has won either title to give you a helping hand. The number of those that are SWPL wins is shown in brackets.
