The draw has been made for the 2019/20 Cornwall Charity Cup – with Falmouth Town, Helston Athletic and Porthleven all involved.

Falmouth have been drawn at home to Liskeard Athletic, who were the final winners of the now-defunct South West Peninsula League Division 1 West last season, with the tie to be played on Wednesday, September 25 at 7.30pm.

Helston Athletic will visit Burngullow Park to take on Sticker on the same evening (7.30pm), with Porthleven also handed a home tie against Mousehole (7.30pm).

Reigning champions St Dennis will begin their title defence at Penzance.

The 16-team competition has, in recent years, been open to all Cornish sides in the SWPL Division 1 West, with the remaining spaces filled by Combination League and East Cornwall Premier League teams.

But with the SWPL Division 1 West no longer in existence the format has had to be changed, and this year 16 teams from the South West Peninsula League have been invited to take part. The first round kicks off on September 24-25, while the final is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

Each year Cornwall FA chooses a worthy local charity to benefit from this 16-team competition and this year’s chosen charity is The Merlin MS Centre, which provides affordable therapies and support for anyone in Cornwall living with a long-term neurological condition.
