Wendron United earned their first-ever South West Peninsula League Premier win with a 2-0 victory at Launceston on Saturday.

Finn Robinson scored what proved to be the winner for the Dron, with Rory Jarvis' strike making sure of the victory – Wendron's first at Step 6 in their history.

Dan Stedman also saved a penalty for the visitors, whose victory was made all the more impressive by having six first-team players unavailable for the game.

Ben Collins' second-half strike condemned Helston Athletic to defeat in their first home game of the season against Liskeard Athletic.

James Lorenz had put the visitors in front with a fine finish midway through the first half, only for Hugh Howlett to level soon after the break, but Collins rifled home what proved to be the winner on 62 minutes.

Falmouth Town came from a goal down to draw 2-2 at St Dennis. Despite the Cornwall Senior Cup holders' dominance, it was the Saints who enjoyed a half-time lead through Jacob Rowe.

Second-half goals from Jack Bowyer and Ryan Martt turned the match on its head, only for Rowe to score another late on and rescue a point.

Porthleven were beaten 2-0 at leaders St Austell. Cam Turner put the Lillywhites in front at the break with a stunning free-kick, before Hayden Turner doubled the advantage a few minutes into the second half.

Dan Jennings scored four as Bodmin Town came out on top in a goal fest at Priory Park, winning 7-4 at home to Newquay. Callum Kenny, Max Gilbert and a treble from Jennings gave Bodmin a 5-2 lead at the break, with Carl Rickard and Jose Perez netting for the Peppermints.

Gilbert and Jennings added one more apiece after the break to seal victory for Bodmin, although Perez scored twice more to complete his hat-trick.

Saltash United ran out 7-1 winners at home to Penzance. Henry Wilson, Jamie Simmonds and Ryan Richards gave the Ashes a 3-0 lead after 18 minutes, although it took until the 63rd minute for David Barker to make it four.

Kevin Lawrence pulled one back instantly for the Magpies, but Barker, Tom Moxham and Simmonds sealed the emphatic win.

Mousehole recovered from a goal down to win 3-2 at home to Camelford. Leighton Carhart gave the Camels the lead on the stroke of half-time, but a Kieran Toland brace and one from Amara Bakayoko turned the game around, before Ed Harrison pulled one back in the dying minutes.

Wadebridge Town got their first SWPL Premier West win with a five-goal victory at Callington Town. Kieran Rowe and Sam Gerken gave the Bridgers a 2-0 lead at half-time, with Rowe and a pair of goals from Kyle Flew completing the scoring in the second half.

Godolphin Atlantic earned their first win of the season after coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Sticker. Derek Lucas and Theo Maye gave the home side a two-goal advantage, but Joe Stone and Dom Roberts scored as Godolphin completed an excellent comeback.

Dobwalls came from behind to win 2-1 at St Blazey. Callum McGhee gave Blazey a half-time lead, but Tom Scott's header and Hayden Baugh's strike ensured the visitors came from behind to pick up points for the third time in three games this season.
