Penzance’s hopes of being crowned ECB national T20 champions were ended on Sunday, as they were beaten by 111 runs at Cranleigh CC in Surrey.

Cranleigh set their opponents a target of 170 to win, but Penzance were bowled out for 58 in the Vitality Club regional T20 quarter-final tie.

Penzance had reached the last eight of the national competition after coming through three different stages of T20 tournament play.
