Penryn Athletic continued their superb start to the season with a hard-fought victory at Wendron United reserves.

Jake Shaw gave the league leaders a half-time lead at the Underlane, but Sam Fuller levelled for the Dron less a minute into the second half.

Ryan Reeve restored the visitors' lead ten minutes later with his sixth goal of the season, and Jack Rapsey joined him on that total six minutes afterwards to clinch Athletic's sixth win from six games this season.

Their nearest rivals are St Day, who remain three points behind after winning 6-0 at home to Mousehole reserves. Dan Richards scored four for the Saints, with Louis Hall and Jacob Williams also netting.

Hayle are third after winning 4-1 at home to Falmouth Town reserves, who remain in 11th.

Helston Athletic won for the first time this season, winning 2-1 at Redruth United. Fred Williams and Sam Young scored for the Blues, while Tom Craze replied for the hosts.

Ludgvan also picked up their first win of the season, and their first at all since the 2018/19 season, with a 3-2 victory at home to Perranwell.

Mullion lost 2-1 at home to St Ives Town. Ross Duncan scored twice for the home side, with Rob Carey replying for Mullion.

Elsewhere, Illogan RBL inflicted a second defeat on Combination League champions Perranporth, winning 2-1 at Ponsmere Valley.
