Rain wreaked havoc on the weekend's football action, with games up and down the county being called off due to the weather.

Truro City's hopes of bouncing back from their midweek loss at Taunton Town were ended by the rain, with their FA Trophy tie at home to Blackfield & Langley falling victim,

Just four of 14 scheduled Walter C Parson League Cup second round ties were playing over the weekend, with Mousehole kicking the action off on Friday night with a 2-0 win at home to Porthleven.

Kieran Toland scored twice in the final ten minutes at a very wet Trungle Parc, which hosted a floodlit fixture for the first time, to seal the Seagulls' progression.

Sticker's tie at home to Brixham was the only Step 6 fixture to be played in Cornwall on Saturday, with the Devonians running out 5-1 winners at Burngullow Park.

St Blazey came from a goal down at half-time to win 3-2 at Axminster Town. Callum McGhee scored twice for the visitors with Jamie Wilmott also netting.

Elsewhere, Plymouth Marjon upset the odds with a 2-1 extra-time win at home to Ilfracombe Town, who sit 22 points and 15 places above their victors in SWPL Premier East.

Three of the six games in the St Piran League West were postponed, with Brodie Kemp scoring six goals as Falmouth Town reserves moved to within one point of league leaders Penryn Athletic with an 8-1 win at home to Redruth United.

Kemp scored a treble in either half of the game, which was switched from Bickland Park to Falmouth Sports Hub's 4G pitch to take his tally to 20 for the season in his final game for the club, with Ben Beesley scoring the other two for Town. Jago Clift scored a consolation for United.

Perranporth came back from two goals down to 3-2 at home to Wendron United reserves in a match that was originally due to be held at the Underlane. Matt Roberts, Gavin Boon and Justin Searle scored for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Kyle Hampton scored the only goal of the game as Hayle won 1-0 at home to St Agnes.

Only one game survived in the East division, with Saltash Borough drawing 1-1 at home to Sticker.

Three out of six games also bit the dust in the Combination League, with the top four teams all having their games called off.

Pendeen Rovers maintained their 100 per cent record to win 3-0 at home to St Agnes reserves – their sixth victory of the season from six games. scored for Rovers.

Marazion moved above Carharrack and into sixth with a 5-2 win at home to the Reds.

Lizard Argyle won 4-2 at home to St Day reserves. Jared Lawrence scored twice for Argyle with Dagan Vaughan-Spruce and Ethan Thirlaway also netting, while Chris Dower and Gareth Ireson replied for the Saints.

The Cornwall Junior Cup was also hit hard by the weather, with only nine of 29 scheduled second-round ties going ahead. St Just reserves were rewarded for getting their game on with a 5-0 win over Tregony, while West Cornwall enjoyed a home win of the same score over St Ives Mariners.

St Merryn United, Polperro reserves, St Ann's Chapel, Southgate Seniors and St Dominick reserves also made it through.

Only two of the eight scheduled Trelawny League fixtures survived, with Rosudgeon Reserves beating Falmouth DC in Division 1 and Lizard Argyle reserves winning 4-3 at Falmouth United in Divsion 2.
