Falmouth Town midfielder Ryan Martt has left the club to move back to his home in Nottinghamshire.

Martt was one of five players to join Town from local rivals Penryn Athletic in the summer of 2017, alongside David Blizzard, Luke Brabyn, David Broglino and Ollie Moody.

A versatile player, Martt was often deployed in either central midfield or central defence in his 101 appearances for the club, scoring four goals in all.

Three of those came this season, scoring in their 2-2 draw at St Dennis, a 7-1 win at Launceston and a 4-2 win at home to Newquay.

Martt made his 101st and final appearance in a Town shirt as an extra-time sub in their dramatic 3-2 win at home to Longlevens in the FA Vase last week.

Falmouth boss Andrew Westgarth said: "Fantastic servant for the football club. Mr Reliable, never let us down: you can really count on him for the big games.

"He has a fantastic trophy haul; won the League Cup, won the Senior Cup, won the Charity Bowl.

"I'm gutted to see him leave but wish him all the best and if he ever comes down he will be welcomed with open arms."
