It was another successful year for the Borough in the annual Boxing Day fixtures against Falmouth, with both the Saracens and first team picking up wins with a pair of clean sheets to boot.

As ever, the Saracens kicked things off in the morning and travelled down to the Rec this year. A dominant display with a mixture of youth and experience brought a 0-46 win, with tries from Will Paine, Ross Hancock, Ollie Evans, Josh Nichol, Paul Saberton, Tom Hoban, Bill Harrison and Aidan Smith.

Conditions again dominated the first team encounter, which was as ever a hard fought battle. In a physical contest in the mud bath a bumper crowd had to settle for a scoreless first half and would have to wait until deep into the second period for the crucial score.

Andrew Seviour was the man to eventually break the deadlock, with his try converted by Callum Hinchley. It was a tense and nervy finish to the game as Falmouth pressed hard, but much like in the Saracens lineup, a blend of youth and experience got the job done.
