Millbrook 0, Falmouth Tn 4

On one of their favourite grounds, Falmouth Town cantered to a relatively easy win in the Jewson SWL when they defeated in-form team Millbrook 4-0.

It was Town's seventh successive win at Millbrook and completed an 8-1 double as well as inflicting the home side's heaviest defeat of the season.

After a slow start, Town sealed the victory with three goals in six minutes through Andy Waddell, Justin Ashburn and Dale Band.

Penryn Ath 1, Mousehole 0

Penryn Athletic chalked up a 1-0 win over Mousehole in the Jolly's Combination League, but they made hard work of it.

Athletic finally broke the deadlock eight minutes into the second half when Jerry Cornish's shot cannoned goalkeeper Gregg Woollard and left Andy Stivey with a simple tap-in.

Penryn 12, Swanage & Wareham 21

Swanage and Wareham, bottom in South West II badly needed a win as did both Penryn and Oxford, all three of whom had recorded only one success to date.

Unfortunately for the Borough, the visitors made a great start and never looked back to finish clear winners.

Tony Penrose's boot earned all of Penryn's points, kicking four penalties.

Falmouth 15, Liskeard-Looe 17

For the second successive year Falmouth lost at the Recreation Ground to Liskeard-Looe with a last minute score.

On Saturday in a Cornwall League Division I game, Falmouth recovered from a 10-9 half-time deficit to lead 15-10 only to be robbed of victory in the last minute when scrum-half Stephen Markham scored after a forward rush and fly-half Marcus Hill converted from the touchline.
