FALMOUTH Town will host Saltash United in a repeat of last year's Cornwall Senior Cup final in this year's quarter-finals.

The tie will be played at Bickland Park on Saturday, February 8.

Town came from a goal down to win 2-1 against defending champions Saltash United in last season's Senior Cup final at Bodmin Town's Priory Park.

Ryan Richards had put the Ashes ahead inside three minutes, but Joe Cooper levelled for Town just three minutes later.

Saltash were reduced to ten men early in the second half when Richard Maddison was shown a second yellow, before James Ward's late header clinched Town's first Senior Cup title since 1997.

Town are yet to play Saltash in the league this season and have also been drawn against the Ashes in the Cornwall Charity Cup semi-finals, which is due to be played on Wednesday, April 1.

It means that, should they defeat Penzance in their quarter-final next Wednesday, they will take on Saltash four times between February 8 and April 1.

Town booked their place in the last eight with a 3-0 win at Dobwalls. David Broglino put Town in front from the spot in the 38th minute before Martyn Duff's deflected strike doubled the advantage two minutes before the break, with Luke Johnson completing victory in the second half.

Saltash, who won the competition in 2018, recovered from a goal down to win 3-1 at Camelford in their fourth round tie last week. Matt Andrew put the Camels in front, but Chris Menhenick's strike and two goals from Ryan Richards completed the Ashes' come-from-behind win.
