Falmouth Sailing Club celebrated Trafalgar Day in their own way last week

The Trafalgar Cup was first presented by Pat Preddy and his wife in 2005, the centenary year of the battle of Trafalgar.

Pat was a member of the Falmouth Town Regatta Committee who used to be the organising body for the Champagne Race and it was for that day to be presented to the Youngest Helm.

So this year the Trafalgar Cup was presented to the youngest helm in Falmouth Sailing Week. This was Kitty O'Halloran (14)

The crew on 'Joxer' a J80, Kitty at the helm, completed the 3-Day series in the Bay Fleet during Falmouth Sailing Week 21

The other juniors on board were Grace (15) Lily (12) and Freya Brown (15). We think Pat would be very happy that this cup was once again presented to such a committed and experienced young crew.
