Helston Athletic could move to second in the Toolstation Western League depending on results elsewhere if they overcome seventh placed Exmouth Town on Saturday.

The teams:

Athletic are in a rich vein of form having won their last five games in a row in all competitions, their latest a 3-1 away win at Wellington with Billy Tucker scoring twice before Stu Bowker notched his 19th of the season in all competitions late on.

In their first season at this level they are certainly impressing, and could go top of the division if they win all four of their games in hand.

The match is the second of three in a row for the Blues who have another testing trip to Shepton Mallet before they return to Kellaway Park to face local rivals Mousehole on Boxing Day.

Exmouth have won two of their last three in the league the latest being a closely contested 3-2 win over Clevedon Town. They are part of a chasing at the upper end of the Western League where just six points separate third from tenth in the division.

Speaking on his sides upcoming matches Helston Manager Steve Massey said: "We have got some big games now, the two away games will be as tough as anywhere else at Exmouth and then at Shepton Mallet. There is a real nice buzz and a quiet confidence about the squad, the team and the club to be perfectly honest. We are looking forward to Saturday again now."
