THE battle at the top of the Kernow Stone St Piran League division two shows no sign of abating with both Illogan RBL Reserves and New Inn Titans chalking up wins.

Leaders Illogan accounted for Perranwell Reserves 3-0 after scoring through Tom Butt, Matt Roberts and Callum Smith.

New Inn Titans were 4-2 winners against fourth-placed Redruth United Reserves. Titans’ goals came from Jonny Jones (2), Connor Arthur and Mike Catterall.

Probus maintained their impressive start to division three with a ninth successive win after beating Lanner 4-1 with goals from Sam Pullen (2), Dan Vincent and an own goal. Dexter Strugnell replied for Lanner

Holmans SC, leading 1-0 at the break, are hanging on to the leaders’ coat tails after going on to demolish St Keverne 8-0 after notching goals through Ross Williams (2), Nathan Williams (2), Liam Phillips, Stephen Knurek and Callum Faulkner.

Lizard Argyle won only their second league game after toppling Carharrack 3-2 with goals from Sam Faulkner, Tristan Hawkings and Owen Williams. Dylan Tiddy and Jordan Tiddy replied for the visitors.

Dropship won 3-0 at RNAS Culdrose Reserves.

A goal-laden game saw St Erme and Goonhavern Athletic draw an amazing game 5-5 with Saints scoring twice in the dying minutes. Thierry Murley (4) and Brandon McDonnell scored for the home side and Goonhavern replied with a Dave Mitchell hat-trick and goals from Jayden Andrew and Tom Blackwell.

Not far behind was Wendron United IV and St Ives Mariners who shared the points after a 4-4 draw. Darcy Knibb (2), Oliver Knibb and Paul Smith netted for United and Mariners replied through Ryan Higgins, Stuart Lugg and Liam Taylor.

Just three games in division four produced an astronomical 35 goals with Pendeen Rovers seeing off the challenge of Perranporth with a 9-6 triumph. Isaac Joy (4), Liam Wallis (3), Ryan Ellis and an own goal were Rovers’ scorers.

Wendron United V won a 10-goal thriller after defeating Dropship Reserves by a modest 6-4. Tom Orchard (3), Elliot Thomas (2) and Izzak Webb netted for United and Dropship scored through Alex Clifford, Ryan Harley, Taylor Hosking and Tom Lyth.

The lowest number of goals but the biggest winning margin belonged to Frogpool/Cusgarne Reserves who handed Helston Raiders another heavy 7-0 defeat. On target for ’Pool was Ben Lavell (3), Matt Larcombe (2), Jack Marston and Will Waterton.
