LIFE in division two (West) of the Kernow Stone St Piran’s League is proving really tough for St Day III this season after going down to another heavy defeat.

They have now conceded 99 goals after being beaten 9-0 at home to Constantine, but their resilience to such adversity has to be admired. On target for Constantine was Keaton Prynn (3), Owen Kelley, Lewis Fisher, Harrison Herman, Mason Taylor, Dylan Reynolds and Ben Allen-Bassett.

Falmouth United suffered a 5-2 defeat away to Penzance Reserves after Kieron Snowden scored a hat-trick for The Magpies. Tyler Smith and Sam Payne had the other goals.

A goal from Tom Quick enabled Newlyn Non-Athletico to grab a 1-0 win at Chacewater and New Inn Titans stretched their unbeaten league record with a 3-0 win against Frogpool/Cusgarne. Rob Penfold (2) and Connor Arthur snapped up Titans’ goals.

Illogan RBL Reserves are keeping pace with Titans after they came out on top with a hard-earned 1-0 win at Stithians after Matt Roberts scored the only goal of the game.

Mawnan Reserves were 5-2 winners at St Buryan after scoring through a Tom Campbell hat-trick and goals from Dawson Smith and Joe Nancarrow.

In division three title-chasing Holmans SC were given a tough game against RNAS Culdrose Reserves before Ross Williams scored the goal that gave them a 1-0 win.

Lizard Argyle hit top form to win 5-1 at St Erme thanks to a hat-trick from Tristan Hawkings and a brace from Kai Tutton-Gane. Thierry Murley scored for Saints.

Wendron IV had a torrid afternoon after they were beaten 10-0 at home by Goonhavern Athletic. Neil Currah hit five goals with Tom Blackwell, Louis Brown, Albert Gosling-Brown, Dan Scholes and Tre Arnold scoring the others.

Division four leaders Perranporth were in rampant form away to Constantine Reserves who, in complete contrast to their first team’s result, were heavily beaten 10-1 at home. Luke Symons scored Constantine’s goal.

Storm moved into second place after they overcame Dropship Reserves 3-0 with a hat-trick from Colin Manley.

Not a day to remember for the Wendron teams with United’s V side sliding to a 8-1 defeat at Mullion III. Cavan Hill (2), James Kaye (2), Seth Rutterford, Tom Lake, Ben Harvey and Archie Rutterford scored for Mullion with Elliot Thomas replying for Wendron.

Helston Raiders went down to a 6-0 defeat at home to Troon Reserves and Frogpool/Cusgarne Reserves were narrow 2-1 winners against St Just Reserves.

Perranwell Reserves reached the fourth round of the Bond Timber Cornwall Junior Cup after a narrow 2-1 win away to Carharrack. Callum Edgcombe and Michael Gough scored for Perran and Cal Pearson for Carharrack.

St Ives Mariners were beaten 2-1 at Bodmin Town Reserves and Dropship defeated Dobwalls Reserves 3-0.

In a second-round local derby, Falmouth DC won a 4-3 thriller against Penryn Athletic Reserves after scoring through Ryan Richardson, Zach Maunder, Dan Hollings and Matt Gilbert.
