00:90 Full time. Newquay played well in the first half, but some sloppy defending let Penryn back into the match just before the break. From then on Penryn were brilliant. Hobbs took his goals well and, as the game opened up, Penryn got better and better. Just as last Friday proved, when Penryn beat Penzance 5-4, when they play open, expansive football Penryn are a match for most teams.

00:89 GOAL: Tom Annear picks up the ball on the left and crosses the ball for fellow substitute Jamie Thirkle to strike at goal. His shot is straight at Payne, but the keeper can't gather the ball due to the power in the shot and it rebounds to Steve Brewer, who is left with a simple finish from inside the six yard box. Newquay have been pushing forward and that has ceated gaps for Penry to expliot, but this has been a clinical and impressive attacking display from Penryn in the second half.

00:85 Luke Weldhen has gone off, with what looks like an ankle injury, to be replaced by Jake Hartigan.

00:83 GOAL: Captain Sean Johnston has got on the scoresheet. A good passing move from Penryn finds Johnston 25-yards from goal and he curls a good strike into the bottom right hand corner of the goal for number six.

00:78 Luke Rigby fires a right-foot shot just past the post. This game is very open and you wouldn't bet against another goal, or goals, being scored before the final whistle.

00:74 GOAL: Penryn have restored their two-goal lead. A long ball up field finds Ben Williams in space on the edge of the box. He takes a touch to control the ball before placing a shot past the on-rushing Luke Payne and into the goal. Newquay could have done with keeping it tight for a few minutes. They haven't done so and Penryn have fifteen minutes left to hang on.

00:71 GOAL: Band's miss (see 69) could prove costly as the ball falls kindly for Luke Rigby at the near post and he hammers a shot at goal. Symon Winnan gets a hand to the ball, but the power beats him and Newquay are back in the match.

00:69 Steve Brewer works his way into the box on the left and cuts the ball back to Gregg Hobbs. His shot is blocked by the feet of Payne. The ball falls back to the unmarked Dale Band, but with the goal open and only a few yards out, he manages to miss-hit his shot and it trickles wide of the post.

00:65 Johnston breaks into the box and fires a powerful shot at the near post, which Luke Payne blocks well. Will Scoley shows good energy to win the ball back and crosses into the box, where Peter MacLean fires a volley wide.

00:63 Almost a great goal from Steve Brewer as he twist and turns his way into the Newquay box before firing a shot a foot wide of the right hand post.

00:60 Penryn counter attack and it's three on three. Sean Johnston plays the ball wide to Steve Brewer, who crosses to the back post, where Gregg Hobbs is lurking. However, the alert Sam McKune gets to the ball before it reaches him and heads behind for a corner. At the moment though Penryn look more likely to get another goal than Newquay.

00:56 Newquay win a corner and their manager signals for their two centre back to go forward. They have got to chase this game now and all after a splendid opening 30 minutes had seen them race into a two-goal lead.

00:53 GOAL: Hobbs has got another. He picks up a ball on the egde of the Newquay box and fires a shot low into the bottom right hand corner. Sloppy defending from the visitors, but what a start to the second half for Penryn. Newquay are in shock.

00:50 GOAL: And in the space of four second half minutes Penryn have turned the game on its head. Gregg Hobbs got the goal again. It was a swift counter-attacking move that saw Dan Richardson cross from the touchline for Hobbs to hit a half volley over Payne and in.

00:46 GOAL: Just the start to the second half Penryn wanted as the ball falls to Gregg Hobbs wide on the left and he spots Luke Payne off his line and lifts a shot over his head and into the top corner.

00:45 Second half has kicked off. No changes on either side.

00:45 Half time. Newquay were much the better side in the first half. They were passing the ball better than the home side and controlling the midfield. Having said that Penryn have taken their chance when it arrived and having got that life-line will look to put in a better second half performance.

00:43 GOAL: Will Scoley gets to the by-line and crosses the ball to the near post where Steve Brewer's shot is blocked. The ball falls to Ben Williams though and he shows great composure to take a touch and hit a left-foot shot low into the bottom corner. They needed that goal and Penryn are now back in the match.

00:39 Ben Oliver puts in a good slide challenge to deny Paul Robertson a shot at goal.

00:35 Corner by Penryn is played to the back post, where Ben Williams loops an awkward cross back into the box and Gregg Hobbs fires an equally awkward volley off target. This isn't the same fluent Penryn we saw beat Penzance 5-4 in the Charity Cup last Friday, or the same Penryn that beat Newquay in the Throgmorton Cup at Mount Wise a month ago.

00:32 Newquay are good value for the 2-0 lead so far. Penryn are struggling to keep hold of possession when they have the ball, where their visitors are finding their men when moving forward.

00:25 Should have been 3-0. Sean Johnston gives the ball away to Luke Rigby in the middle of the park. He plays a ball into Scott Palmer, who shot is well charged down by Penryn's keeper Symon Winnan. However, the ball falls to Newquay's Paul Robertson, but he hits a shot against the post with the goal unguarded.

00:21 Penryn playing a few too many long balls forward. Captain Sean Johnston is telling his team-mates to shorten the passes a little.

00:15 GOAL. Luke Wheldhen plays a defence splitting pass to find and unmarked Paul Robertson on the corner of the six yard box. His shot is well saved by Symon Winnan, but the ball loops up into the middle of goal, where the unmarked Luke Rugby is left with a simple side-foot volley to score.

00:13 Steve Brewer plays a one-two with Dan Richardson, but just over-hits the final ball through as Richardson was in on goal. That's better from Penryn though.

00:11 Newquay have won the battle in midfield so far. Penryn need to getting their pasing game going, but the Newquay players are snapping into the challenges in the middle.

00:06 GOAL: Penryn try to clear out of their box, but it bounces off Dan Richardson and to Paul Robertson. The Newquay striker shot is deflected just wide off the right hand post. However, from the resulting corner Newquay score as Shaun Middleton's shot is saved by Symon Winnan, but Sam McKune blast home the rebound from seven yards out.

00:04 Frantic pace to this game already. First chance falls to Penryn as Dan Richardson bundles his way past a couple of Newquay defenders into the area, but Sam McKune is across to cover and clears the ball out for a corner.

00:00 Kicked off at Kernick, with Newquay attacking the clubhouse end.
