Andy Parry has been unveiled as the new first team manager of Penryn Athletic for next season.

The FA accredited coach has been charge of the club’s reserves side for the past ten seasons, but will take over first team duties at the start of next season after being unanimously voted in by the Penryn AFC board.

He will take over from current management duo Steve Jewell and Dale Band, who announced their decision to step down at the end of the current season in order to spend more time with their young families.

Parry said he was he was pleased to have been chosen and is looking forward to taking over, with Alan Rundle as his assistant.

“I’m absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to step up to the first team and I’m keen to do a good job,” he said. “I have been in charge of the combination team for a while now, so I’m excited about taking on the new challenge.”
