Truro City's Andy Watkins could be set for a return to action as he was named in the 17-man squad to face Chippenham on Saturday.

Watkins, who has been out of action since undergoing a double hernia operation, in early February, turned out for Truro City Reserves on Tuesday night as they beat Newquay 4-3.

Lee Hodges was at the game to watch his star striker score the winning goal and has sinced called the player back into the first team.

"I watched Andy play 70 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday. He's obviously not back to his electrifying best yet, but it's coming, and he scored a great goal. With the training sessions and games, he will get there."

City currently sit top of the table in the Southern League premier division ahead of the trip to Chippenham. However, the Wiltshire club will provide strong opposition for the Cornishmen as they sit just outside the play-offs and have dented the promotion hopes of Chesham and Leamington in recent weeks.

In corresponding fixture at Treyew Road in November, City won 5-0 with goals from Stewart Yetton (2), Andy Watkins (2) and Les Afful.
