Falmouth Town’s Jason Chapman was the star of the show at the club’s awards evening as he picked up three trophies.

The first team goalkeeper picked up the manager’s player of the year, the first team’s players’ player of the year and the supporters’ player of the year awards at a fun-filled evening at Bickland Park on Friday night.

The event, compered by chairman Steve Kimberley, saw the ladies team congratulated for their performances this season in the premier division of the south west counties ladies league.

Kerry-Ann Moxam picked up the award for the most goals in the season, while the manager’s player of the year award went to Sasha Sparkes.

The night also marked the end of former Falmouth Town player Neil Phillips time in charge of the ladies’ side. The popular and successful boss was presented with an award from the ladies team.

Next it was the turn of the Reserves team, who this year have assisted the first’s squad when they were short on numbers towards the end of the season.

This was applauded by Kimberley, who said the relationship between the two teams has been the best since he has been in charge.

The second team manager Paul Murray presented the accolades with the first award going to Luke Wort, who having netted 43 teams this season picked up the top scorer award.

Mark Rose collected the manager’s player of the year award and Mike Newbury walked away with the players’ player award.

The first team accolades saw Dan Green take the young player of the year, while Matt Drummond got the top goalscorer award.

The other prizes went to Chapman though who has had an excellent season in goal for the first team.
