Falmouth Cricket Club was among those who benefited from the Cornwall Cricket Trust's first tranche of grants, which were presented at the Cornwall Cricket League's annual meeting last Wednesday.
Launched last year, the trust is an independent, registered charity run by a group of volunteer trustees.
More than £22,000 has been raised in the first year from donations, memberships, incoming grants and other fundraising activities.
Full details of how to join or how to apply for grants can be viewed at www.cornwallcrickettrust.org
A total of £8,700 has been awarded so far, to Mount Ambrose CC towards a new electronic scoreboard; mower repairs for Menheniot Looe CC; a coaching programme for girls and disability cricket at Falmouth CC and a bowling machine at Lanhydrock CC.
Trustees Denise Gladwell and Linda Cobbledick made presentations at the Cornwall Cricket League annual meeting to Sandra Richardson (Falmouth CC), Bill Simpson (Menheniot Looe CC) and Tom Wilson (Mount Ambrose CC).
