ONE hundred golfers took to Falmouth Golf course on Saturday for the Baragwaneth Trophy, 22 players carding a level 36 points or better, writes Keith Rashleigh.

Alan Miller used his considerable experience to win with a grand haul of 43 stableford points, just pipping Mike Sawden, who also played well, on countback.

Third was Ben Browning with a fine 41 points, which was enough to edge out a whole posse of players including Richie Perrin, Simon Cooper, Bob Aggus and Richard Browning by one point.

On Wednesday, the monthly stableford, sponsored by Kelsall Steele Investment Services Ltd, was well won by Pete Lewis with 38 points including birdies posted at the third, eighth, ninth, 11th and 18th holes.

Runner up was Tony Gunn with 36 points and third was Phil Jones, who edged out Norman Ashe on countback.

This Saturday is finals day, with the presentations taking place at 7pm.
