n Just three months after undergoing major surgery to an almost severed arm, 41-year-old John Andrew skippered the Falmouth Working Boat Demelza to an impressive victory in St Mawes regatta. John, who almost lost his arm in an accident as he was preparing his boat for the 2006 season, saw his boat finish amost three-and-a-half minutes ahead of the rest of the field.
