PRESSURE has been kept on Bridge A at the top of the West Cornwall Table Tennis League Premier Division by Falmouth Docks A.
The team recorded a 10-0 whitewash against People’s Palace A before defeated Docks D 7-3 with Mark Meijvis keeping up his unbeaten run from November going, winning all six games he featured in.
Paul Jenkin, Adrian Noott and Chris Peters were all on form for Docks A with three wins each.
They now sit six points behind leaders Bridge A who stuffed Bridge B 10-0 in their latest fixture.
Docks C maintained their hopes of finishing inside the top two after scoring a 10-0 win for themselves against Docks F before a narrow 6-4 victory over Docks B.
In the First Division, the title chase is looking a lot clearer for current leaders People Palace B after they opened up a 12 point gap between them and Mylor A.
Palace drew with Penpol before beating St Ives B 7-3 with Paul Mallen finishing both matches undefeated while Mylor could only manage a draw against Docks G.
At the opposite end of the table things are hotting up too with just 11 points separating the bottom seven sides.
Bottom club Docks K managed to secure a 5-5 draw at fourth placed Marazion in their latest match while Docks L pulled off a tight 6-4 victory at St Ives B.
