Penryn RFC's girls that attended county trials at Newquay on Sunday.
The trial started with an intense warm up and then into some decision making games focused on handling.
The players where then put into narrow, channelled pitches where coaches could take a look at the tackle, ruck and maul in attack and organization in defence. The girls were then thrown into a game with the chance to shine with all their skills and determination on show.
Penryn girls Florence Bawden and Bethany Williams have been selected for the under-15 Cornwall squad and Chelsi Mitchell, Danielle Cardnell, Sky Jackson, Zoe Pixton, Mia Abbott-Smith and Soph Hall have been selected as part of the under-18 Cornwall squad.
The first squad training session is due to take place at Bodmin RFC tomorrow, 7pm until 9pm.
