Art lovers are being invited people to join a walking tour to discover Newlyn's rich art heritage. 

James Green, from the team at Newlyn Art Gallery, and Kathy Hill, a resident of the village for nearly 30 years, will give attendees a detailed look into Newlyn's 150-year history as a home for artists.

Tours are set for Monday, April 1, Thursday, July 11 and Thursday, September 5, starting at 10.30am at the gallery with coffee and cake in the Garden Café. 

The day will end at the gallery at 4pm.

Discover Newlyn's compelling, often secret, history, see the work of its contemporary artists, visit historic studios which have been unchanged for over 130 years, and delve into the story of the village's Tidal Observatory.

Ms Hill, a resident for nearly 30 years, will share her profound knowledge around how present-day Newlyn artists draw creative inspiration from their environment.

The walking tour, with regular breaks, does include steep side streets, steps, and potentially slick harbour areas.

Navigate comfortably with practical footwear and dress for all weathers.

The walk costs £120 per person, with refreshments and lunch included.

Each tour has a maximum of 10 places.
