The number of new coronavirus in Cornwall has dropped by almost a quarter in the past week.
In an indication that the effects of the national lockdown measures introduced at the start of the month are maybe now starting to be seen, Cornwall and the |Isles of Scilly registered 1,594 in the seven days leading up to January 15.
Data from the most recent five days is not included due to being incomplete.
This is 480 fewer cases from a week ago and marks a 23 per cent reduction.
Cornwall now has a rolling rate of 278.8 cases per 100,000 people, which is a significant drop from the 361.8 cases per 100,000 last Wednesday.

Truro has a combined 84 cases, also across three cluster areas: Truro West (32), Truro South & Central (21) and Truro East (31). This marks a fall from 104 cases last Wednesday.

Covid clusters in the south, west and mid Cornwall
Falmouth, which a week ago had a total of 96 cases across its three clusters, has fallen to 54 cases (Falmouth West & South, 9; Falmouth East, 21; Falmouth North, 24).
Poundstock & Kilkhampton remains the only cluster not showing cases on the map.
The map only shows clusters when there are at least three confirmed results, with anywhere with between zero and two cases shows white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure."
The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.
The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.
