There are now eight areas of Cornwall showing no cases of Covid at all as figures continue to drop.
The latest 'cluster' map on the Government dashboard has been published this evening and shows 1,048 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the seven days up to January 22 – more than a third (34.4 per cent) lower than the previous week.
The most recent five days are not shown due to incomplete data.
In numbers this marks a drop of 549 cases in the past week.

Cornwall now has a rolling rate of 183.3 cases per 100,000 people, which is a significant drop both on the 278.8 cases per 100,000 last Wednesday and the 361.8 cases per 100,000 two weeks ago.
There are now eight 'cluster' areas no longer showing cases: St Just & Land's End, Perranporth & Goonhavern, Looe & Polperro, St Germans & St Mellion, Wadebridge, Camelford & Tresmeer, Poundstock & Kilkhampton, and Bude & Stratton.
The map only shows clusters when there are at least three confirmed results, with anywhere with between zero and two cases shows white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure."
Covid clusters in the south, west and mid Cornwall
There is now only one single cluster area showing above 44 cases, in Bodmin East, with Lostwithiel & Penwithick the next highest at 40.
This is a marked difference on a couple of weeks ago, when some clusters were showing more than 90 cases.
Helston, which was reporting a high of 94 cases on Monday last week (January 18), has now dropped to 35 cases.
There are also now 23 clusters with case numbers below ten.
The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.
The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.
