A Cornish gin-maker is celebrating its move to a new 'state-of-the-art' distillery with a new 'summer' gin.

Land of Saints Organic Gin, which is based in Truro, has announced the launch of a new 'summer' gin, Saint Clement, in order to mark the opening of a new, state-of-the-art distillery in Ponsanooth.

Saint Clement is the very first gin to be produced in the company's new distillery near Falmouth.

Black and Gold Organic Distillery is the new home of Land of Saints Organic Gin and it is hoped the new facility will allow owners Laura Whyte, Mike and Sue Bearcroft to fulfil the strong demand for their products both nationally and internationally.

Sharing its name with a nearby Cornish village, the gin was created by the company's in-house gin developer, Mat Follas, who opened the Black and Gold Organic Distillery back in 2009.

Mat, who was the 2009 Masterchef Winner, an international cider judge and a keen forager - created the summer gin as a follow-up to the original Land of Saints Organic Gin, which takes a classic London dry style and also recently won a coveted Taste of the West Gold Award.
