A popular collectibles and antiques market will be returning to Truro this August.

The Truro Antiques and Collectables Market has announced it will be back every first and third Wednesday from August until October this year.

The outdoor markets returned in June this year and have been taking place twice a month, turning Lemon Quay into a place where visitors can discover some interesting and unusual items for sale.

Locals, Cornwall’s residents, and visitors have been able to browse and buy lots of different and unique items including: antiques & hand-crafted jewellery, art, automobilia, brass, ceramics, copper, Cornish books, glass, militaria, postcards, silver and gold, small furniture, toys and other intriguing items.

The upcoming markets are taking place on the following Wednesdays: August 4, August 18, September 1,September 15, October 6 and October 20.

Initiated and part-funded by Truro BID, the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market, will be outside on Lemon Quay from 9am – 4pm and will sit alongside the regular Truro Farmers Market.

"It’s great news that once again auctioneers Bonhams of Lemon Street are returning with their stall offering free, no obligation valuations for August.

"With antiques markets taking place every first and third Wednesday of the month from August to October they are becoming more established and really adding to the atmosphere at Lemon Quay.

As well as Truro City Council and Truro Farmers Market, Truro BID has worked with David Pierce who organises Heartlands Antiques & Collectors Fair and Guildhall Collectors Fair in St. Ives to bring to the antiques and collectables traders to Truro.
