Two of the rising cluster areas now have a case rate averaging more than 1,000.

The highest is Wadebridge, with a case rate of 1,085.7 per 100,000 people, after recording a total of 78 weekly cases - 16 more than the previous week.

It is only marginally higher than Camborne East, where the case rate is 1,084.4 per 100,000 people, with 95 weekly cases recorded - ten higher than the preceding week.

Camborne East is, however, the single cluster with the highest number of new cases, closely followed by Launceston which recorded 90 cases, up 32 week-on-week.

Camborne is also the town with the overall highest number of cases, with a combined 200 cases across its three cluster areas: Camborne West (37, up two), Camborne South (68, down nine), Camborne East (95, up ten).

The figures relate to those recorded across the seven day period leading up to last Saturday, October 9, the most recent data available.

During that time Cornwall and Isles of Scilly as a whole recorded a combined 2,896 positive test results, which is 332 more cases than during the preceding week. It marked a 12.9% rise.

The case rate is now averaging 503.2 cases per 100,000 people, which is a rise on the 444.1 cases per 100,000 people last Wednesday.

The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.

The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.

Clusters are only shown when there are three or more new cases reported at any one time.

Anywhere with between zero and two cases shows white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure", the accompanying information states.
