WILL the weather turn Bonfire Night into a damp squib or will clear skies allow fireworks to be seen in all their glory?

With events happening tonight, Saturday and Sunday the forecast has the power to make or break this weekend’s activities.

Offering their predictions for the big day, the Met Office sheds some light on what to expect.

Cornwall Bonfire Night weather forecast

After a few showers in some parts of Cornwall first thing, it will otherwise be a dry day with a mixture of cloud and bright or sunny spells.

It will be feeling slightly milder though with maximum temperature of around 13 °C.

In Falmouth it is set to be a slightly chillier 10 °C at 6pm and 7pm, the most common display times. 

Sadly it’s not looking so hopeful for Saturday. It predicted to be a cloudy and windy yet mild day with rain arriving after dark.

There is a 50% chance of rain in Falmouth at 6pm and 7pm.

Better news for Sunday though. Although cooler and remaining breezy, it should stay largely dry with bright spells.

So if you celebrating this evening or Sunday, wrap up warm and enjoy the display. For those heading out on Saturday though, don’t forget the waterproofs.
