A tornado has been sighted on the south coast of Cornwall today following the yellow warning of thunderstorms in the area.
A video taken by a passenger on the Fowey to Mevagissey ferry on Tuesday showed a vicious tornado hurtling across the seafront at the mouth of the Fowey Estuary in south coast of Cornwall which their twitter account described as 'jaw-dropping'.
It is commonly known as a tornado but when this moment happens on water it is actually referred to as a water spout.

The incredible footage follows the news that Cornwall is set for a three-day long weather warning of thunderstorms which has seen flash-flooding at numerous places across the county.
The Kernow Weather Team on Monday evening detailed exactly where lightning strikes had taken place in the county on the day stating there had been 'quite a few' incidents across the Duchy.
The Met Office warns people can expect to see: "Spray and sudden flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."
