Hundreds of biker are expected to escort the funeral of biker Ivor Uren on his final journey this week, following his death a year after suffering a massive stroke.

The funeral of Ivor of from Redruth will be taking place this Thursday, October 12 at the Camborne Crematorium for a 1pm start.

All motorcyclists taking part in the funeral escort are being asked to start gathering at the Inn for All Seasons Treleigh, Redruth from 11am where teas and coffees will be available.

They are being asked not to gather at Ivor's house.

Ivor died just five days after more than a thousand bikers took part in the Martin Jennings Memorial Run to raise money for the Stroke Association in his honour.

Ivor passed away on September 15 aged 64, having suffered a massive stroke and a bleed on the brain September 2022, and was bed ridden ever since in a nursing home in Hayle.

Ivor will leave his home at 12 noon in a motorcycle hearse escorted by three MJMA marshals, with his partner Sandra Richards riding pillion with myself directly behind Ivor, and will arrive at the Inn for All Seasons at 12.10pm.

Bikers are being asked to show their appreciation to Ivor by revving their engines when he arrives at the Inn for All Seasons, and be ready to move off at 12.15pm, riding in pairs if safe to do so.

When parking in the car park they are being asked to ensure that a wide enough gap is maintained that the hearse can pass through from the entrance to the exit.

Any cars tagging on, should keep behind the motorcycle escort.
