There is a top of the table clash in the Toolstation Western League this weekend as Helston Athletic take on Tavistock AFC at Kellaway Park. Tavistock are currently the league leaders, six points ahead of Helston but Saturday's visitors have played two games more than the Blues.

Helston will be looking to put an end to an unwanted home record that has seen them draw from winning positions in their last two home games. They were 5-2 against Keynsham before finishing 5-5, and most recently 2-0 up against Millbrook to finish 3-3.

In the South West Peninsula League, there is no game for nearly a month for league leaders Falmouth Town. Town currently boast a ten-point gap over second-placed Camelford.

Their next three games are away to Sidmouth in the Walter C Parson Cup on Saturday, October 16. They then host Bradford Town in the Second Round of the FA Vase before travelling away to Bodmin Town in the Cornwall Senior Cup.

Penryn Athletic will be looking to make it a hat trick of victories in the league when they travel to St Austell. It is a battle of ninth vs tenth in the division and the winner could go as high as seventh depending on results elsewhere.

Wendron will be looking to return to winning ways following derby disappointment against Penryn last weekend. They're on the road to Launceston before preparations begin for their FA Vase Second Round tie at home to Bovey Tracey.

On Sunday in the Cornwall Women's Football League Wendron's ladies team will aim to get their first points of the season when they host St Agnes. Helston Athletic Women Development team are at home to Bude.

In the South West Women's Regional Football League Helston's first team are away at Liverton as they look to continue their strong start to the season.
