Helston Athletic have seemingly got their season back on track following a dip in form over the Winter period which saw the Blues lose four league matches in a row.

However, the past week has been good for Athletic. Following the additions of Mike Searle and Matt Wright up front Athletic have won their last two games. Most recently seeing off Brislington with a 1-0 win away from home.

Though Helston have made three acquisitions since Christmas it is one of their earlier signings that made the headlines over the past two weeks as Orlando Anker has twice come off the bench to score the winning goal for the Blues.

The former Newquay man will be eyeing up a starting place as Manager Steve Massey admitted he could change his team for the visit of bottom-placed Bridport who Helston beat 7-1 on the opening day of the season. The full report of that game can be is available here.

Bridport have gone on to only win one league game since. Victory for Helston could see them rise to fifth although that is dependent on results elsewhere.

Mousehole will hope to continue their hot run of form on the weekend when they travel away to Clevedon Town.

Mousehole are third in the league, joint on 47 points with second-placed Exmouth Town, despite playing two games less. In fact, the Trungle Parc side have four games in hand over leaders Tavistock, a maximum return of 12 points from those fixtures will see Mousehole go top of the league.

One of the other two Cornish sides in the league, Saltash are at home to Cadbury Heath. Saltash are just one place and two points below Helston. Saltash beat Bridport 9-0 in their last outing. Although Bridport did have to field an outfield player between the sticks due to an injury to their custodian mid game.

Millbrook are in action away to Keynsham, they are tenth in the table and despite crashing out of the Les Phillips Cup against Helston earlier this month they returned to winning ways in their last game with a 3-2 away win over Ashton & Backwell United.

Elsewhere at the top of the table leaders Tavistock are back in action and host Brislington at Langsofrd Park, second placed Exmouth face Shepton Mallet and fourth place Ilfracombe host Street.
