A Falmouth hair salon has received thanks from the British Heart Foundation (BHF) after raising funds towards the charity.

The Cutting Edge Hair Salon on the Marina, Falmouth wanted to fundraise in memory of Sarah Kohen, a friend of Alex Taylor and Emma Eva (The Cutting Edge joint owners.)

A grand total of £1438.50 was raised towards the BHF after the salon combined an afternoon of 30th-anniversary celebrations and afternoon tea at the Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth.

After being named the Falmouth’s Packet’s Hairdresser Salon of the Year 2023, Alex thanks those who have contributed to the fundraiser. She said: “It has been a landmark year for the salon.

“After winning the Falmouth Packet’s Hairdresser Salon of the Year 2023 and taking on the sponsorship of the Herbaceous Roundabout at Ponsharden.

“We would like to thank everyone who has contributed so generously with raffle and auction prizes and all our clients who kindly donated.”

The salon based at Falmouth Marina, North Parade was founded in 1993 by Alex Taylor and it currently hosts a team of ten. 

It has recently welcomed a refurbishment to give it a botanical look and feel.
